Acting for two energy-and-commodities companies, we assisted on a transaction to acquire the African downstream assets of an international energy company. We provided complete guidance and thorough due diligence, with an overview of all the legal areas the transaction touches on. Namely: corporate law, energy sector regulations, environmental compliance, real estate law and taxation implications. We harnessed our technical knowledge of the industry to ensure we acted in accordance with the client's wishes in a timely basis; this was of particular importance considering the tight deadlines dictated by the transaction.
