We advised a major Canadian fund on mining investments in Burkina Faso and Mali. We provided thorough due diligence on the target assets and performed corporate and mining registry searches in both countries, obtaining required information from the appropriate ministries. We also drafted extensive legal opinions on the transaction for the client and ensured the perfection of the mining title, working in real-time collaboration with the remotely-located client as well as the target's local team.
