We advised a major German supplier of electro-mechanical equipment for hydro power plants to supply services and equipment for a hydro power plant in Rwanda. We specifically helped evaluate the legal risks and business challenges in Rwanda, in particular contracting with state-owned entities. We advised from a local law perspective on issues including limitations of liability, enforceability of foreign judgments, liquidated damages and penalties, warranties / indemnities, termination, termination/Suspension/Force Majeure and document execution provisions.
