We advised an US upstream company and conducted a detailed review of its Production Sharing Contract with the Government of Congo-Brazzaville. We reviewed pre-emption rights, change of control provisions and specific clauses setting out the definition of a “production well”. Our advice enabled the client to protect his position with local authorities.
